Although no official details have been shared yet, a recent report indicates the Xiaomi 18 Pro could feature a 2K resolution display. Xiaomi is also exploring hardware and software privacy safeguards similar to those found on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Could Support a Feature Introduced With the Galaxy S26 Ultra

According to a Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is testing a flagship device with a next-generation 2K screen and integrated privacy protection. While the model was not named, speculation suggests it is the Xiaomi 18 Pro.

The privacy feature is expected to limit screen visibility from side angles, helping shield messages, passwords, banking information, and other personal data from nearby viewers, much like the approach on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

If launched, Xiaomi would be only the second smartphone maker to offer this capability, following Samsung.

Tipster Smart Pikachu added that the Xiaomi 18 series may launch with a 200-megapixel main camera using LOFIC technology. The 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max models are said to keep an unchanged rear display while gaining improved brightness. The visual experience was described as similar to Apple devices, with a possible September launch window.

The latest information aligns with earlier reports that Xiaomi might change its flagship rollout plan this year.
