Webidoo, a cross-Atlantic AI firm creating software solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, has finalized a $25m funding round spearheaded by Azimut Libera Impresa SGR's IXC3 fund.

This infusion, worth about €21m based on current exchange rates, ranks among the biggest AI investments for a Europe-based SMB specialist this year.

Based primarily in Milan with an additional hub in Chicago, the company intends to deploy the funds to expand its so-called AI operating layer for SMBs, integrate agentic AI to automate key business operations, and support takeovers of SaaS and marketing firms in the U.S.

Andrea Cornetti, Azimut Group's CEO for real estate and infrastructure, noted in a statement that the investment aligns with IXC3's focus on aiding Italian SMEs with global aspirations. He highlighted Webidoo as a standout ecosystem delivering tangible outcomes and strong international potential.

Unlike many early-stage AI ventures, Webidoo provided solid financials with the announcement: over $18m in 2025 revenue and more than $3m in EBITDA.

With established revenue, positive EBITDA, and growth funding, Webidoo resembles a scaling profitable business more than typical money-burning AI competitors.

Webidoo's core argument is that SMBs grapple with fragmented SaaS applications, where integration gaps erode productivity more than any single tool's benefits.

Its platform acts as the essential connector. The agentic AI component automates repetitive tasks that usually demand manual intervention.

Webidoo has claimed, based on client data, that SMBs using its AI integration achieve productivity boosts exceeding 40%.

The U.S. expansion stands out strategically. European tech firms, including those from Italy, have long wrestled with growing beyond domestic borders. Webidoo opts for acquisitions of established U.S. SaaS and marketing outfits to inherit customer bases, then overlay its technology. Success will hinge on acquisition pricing and smooth integration expenses.
