After the original model debuted at CES earlier this year, Twelve South now offers a compact version of its leather-wrapped Valet charging tray suited for limited spaces. The first Valet measured 7.5 inches deep and worked well as a catchall for items like wallets and keys, but the new version cuts depth nearly in half to 4.5 inches, making it ideal for single accessories such as a pair of glasses.

Despite the smaller size, the updated Valet includes useful enhancements. Its wireless charger rises from a maximum of 15W to 25W. At the same time, the USB-C port on the side now delivers 10W when the Qi2 charger operates, down from the original 15W capability.

At 129.99 dollars the new 4.5-inch Twelve South Valet undercuts the larger 179.99 dollar model yet remains pricier than many Qi2 chargers due to its premium build. It uses a weighted zinc alloy base with the tray wrapped in black, brown, or taupe Nappa leather. The upper section features a removable metal frame available in alternate colors sold separately by Twelve South.
