Yet 2026 has introduced many new competitors, from well-funded startups to established tech giants. All are betting that the browser will shift from a simple window on the web to an assistant that completes tasks on your behalf.

People seeking options beyond Chrome and Safari now have access to a wider range of browsers designed to take on the major players. Perplexity's Comet

Perplexity introduced its AI-driven web browser in July 2025. It is available only to subscribers of Perplexity's $200 per month Max plan, though a waitlist allows others to register.

The Browser Company's Dia
