Impossible to Overlook

The Razr Fold measures a bit larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, featuring a 6.6-inch cover screen and an expansive 8.1-inch main display versus Samsung's 6.5-inch outer and 8-inch inner panels. At 243g, it is heavier, yet remains remarkably slim and comfortable, a step up from earlier foldables.

The twin AMOLED panels deliver exceptional visuals. Enhanced with DCI-P3 color coverage for rich hues, Pantone validation for precise tones, high resolutions, and fluid refresh rates, they shine in every scenario.

Peak brightness impresses, too, with the inner screen hitting 6,200 nits to combat sunlight effectively. Visibility stayed crisp outdoors.

Streaming on the inner display was a highlight. Vibrant colors leaped out, Dolby Vision ensured deep blacks, and the size created an engaging viewing experience.

Refined Design Touches

The Blackened Blue review model featured a unique piqué-inspired woven pattern on the back, adding a premium texture without practical utility - just stylish appeal. The Lily White variant offers a smoother silk-like feel.

Durability is robust: Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 shields the cover screen from scratches and impacts. The flexible inner display has a pre-applied protector, while a sturdy stainless steel hinge enables flexible angles for media viewing or tent-mode clock display.

Power and Endurance

Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and 16GB RAM, it aced benchmarks: Geekbench single-core at 2,740, multi-core over 9,100, and GPU at 17,713 OpenCL. Daily tasks feel snappy, gaming smooth.

Arknights: Endfield ran flawlessly on the OLED, unlike on budget phones, with responsive controls and vivid effects. It warms under stress tests like 3DMark, throttling slightly, but real-world use stays cool.

Battery life excels: 31 hours of outer-screen YouTube, nearly 24 on inner. With an 80W charger, it hits 55% in 30 minutes.

Buying Recommendation

Pre-orders for the 2026 Razr Fold are open at $1,900 from Motorola's site and Best Buy, in Blackened Blue or Lily White. Launch is May 21. It's a premium pick with superb screens and cameras, though pricey. Budget option: discounted Galaxy Z Fold 7 on Amazon.
