Samsung's upcoming foldable phones could feature notably elevated pricing compared to previous generations. Details from Roland Quandt at WinFuture suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Watch 9 series will all experience price uplifts in Europe upon their launch later this month.

Although premium phones have been climbing in cost recently, these rumored prices indicate Samsung might be pushing further into higher brackets, especially for models with more storage capacity.

Samsung's High-End Foldables Set for Premium Pricing

The company plans to reveal its latest foldables during the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22. However, retailer data gathered by Roland Quandt and WinFuture already outlines potential costs for European customers. The priciest item is anticipated to be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, taking the place of last year's top Fold model. Its entry-level 256GB version may be priced at €2,199 (around US$2,507), which is €100 (US$114) more than before.

Costs rise more sharply for bigger storage tiers. The 512GB option could sell for €2,399 (about US$2,735), an increase of €180 (US$205), and the 1TB edition might hit €2,799 (roughly US$3,191), up by €280 (US$319). Samsung's flip-style foldable is also slated for price growth. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 may begin at €1,299 (approximately US$1,481) for 256GB, with the 512GB at €1,499 (around US$1,709), showing rises of €100 (US$114) and €180 (US$205).

The introduction of a standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 stands out, positioned as a more affordable wider foldable under the Ultra variant. It is projected to start at €1,999 for 256GB storage, with 512GB and 1TB versions at €2,199 and €2,599. This standard model is likely to have reduced features, such as a simpler camera setup without a dedicated telephoto lens.

Wearables Also Facing Price Adjustments

Samsung's watches could follow suit with higher costs. The Galaxy Watch 9 might begin at €409 for the 40mm Bluetooth model, and LTE versions will add extra charges. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is expected to launch at €749, about €50 above the prior version.
