The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 looks shorter and wider with a broader screen ratio, while the Ultra version closely matches the shape of the prior Galaxy Z Fold 7. The leak also points to two color choices for the upcoming devices.

Well-known tipster Ice Universe shared photos of the dummy units for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra placed together to illustrate their design contrasts. Both devices follow Samsung's typical book-style foldable layout, yet their sizes differ in noticeable ways. The images display the phones in white and light blue finishes.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 stands out as shorter and wider than the Ultra model whether folded or opened. When unfolded it resembles a tablet with what may be a 4:3 screen ratio. In contrast the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra keeps a taller and slimmer profile like the earlier Galaxy Z Fold 7.

On the back the Galaxy Z Fold 8 carries a dual camera setup, whereas the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra includes a triple camera array. This difference hints that Samsung could market the Ultra as its premium option. The rear cameras sit in a vertical pill-shaped housing with an LED flash positioned beneath the module.

Samsung has not shared any official launch details for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. Still a recent report suggests the foldable phones could debut early at a Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to weigh about 201 grams while the Ultra model may reach 210 grams.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is said to include a 5.4-inch cover screen, while the Ultra version is expected to keep the 6.5-inch external display from the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Both devices are rumored to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
