As the Galaxy Unpacked event draws near in less than two weeks, new leaks are offering greater clarity on Samsung upcoming foldable lineup. Following the online appearance of what look like official renders for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, images of the next clamshell foldable, commonly called the Galaxy Z Flip 8, have reportedly emerged. The leaked images suggest the phone will retain the design approach of its predecessor while introducing updated colour choices.

A report from Android Headlines states that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 will come in Cream, Graphite, and Pink finishes. The same source noted that a Mint version is also rumoured, though it did not show up in the leaked images. This variant might appear later as a Samsung website exclusive.

The images show the device closely mirroring the Galaxy Z Flip 7 overall layout. It is said to feature a large cover screen that curves around the dual rear cameras. The cameras remain horizontally placed in the top-left corner, with the LED flash located next to them.

Power and volume controls appear on the right edge of the flat aluminium frame. Inside, the renders display narrow bezels and a hole-punch cutout for the front camera.

Although Samsung has not confirmed any specs, earlier reports point to a 6.9-inch foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO panel with 120Hz refresh rate and a 4.1-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED cover display. The handset is expected to weigh about 180g, which could make it marginally lighter than the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Inside, it may run on either the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, varying by region. It is anticipated to include 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 or UFS 4.1 storage.

On the camera side, the foldable is likely to keep the 50-megapixel main sensor paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Battery capacity is projected at 4,300mAh with 25W wired fast charging.
