The Redmi Note 17 series is set to debut in China this Tuesday. The lineup will feature two devices: the Redmi Note 17 and the Note 17 Pro. Ahead of the launch, key specs and features for both models have appeared online. Information about the Indian version of the Redmi Note 17 has also emerged, suggesting availability in at least two color choices and a single RAM plus storage setup. In China, the Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro are slated to use different octa-core Snapdragon processors from Qualcomm.

Redmi Note 17 Indian Variant Storage and Color Options (Expected)

Tipster Abhishek Yadav shared on X that the Redmi Note 17 will reach India in at least the 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage variant. The device is expected in Blue and Dark Night shades at minimum. Additional options may surface nearer to the India launch date. Xiaomi has not yet announced an arrival timeline for the Redmi Note 17 in the country.

Redmi Note 17 Series Expected Specifications and Features

Another tipster shared details on the Chinese versions of the Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro. The base model is expected to run on Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, while the Pro variant may use a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor.

In China, the Redmi Note 17 is tipped to include a 7-inch Full-HD+ Samsung E4 Pro screen with up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. It could house an 8,000mAh cell supporting 45W wired fast charging along with 22.5W wired reverse charging. A 50-megapixel main rear camera is also expected, plus an optical fingerprint scanner and IP65 dust and water resistance rating.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro, meanwhile, may come with a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat display reaching up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It is said to feature a 9,000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging and matching reverse charging support. The Pro model could share the same primary rear camera and fingerprint sensor, while offering IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings.

The Redmi Note 17 series launch in China is confirmed for July 14 at 7 pm local time, or 4:30 pm IST. The Note 17 Pro display will include Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for 3m marble drop resistance and a TÜV SÜD 2m, 72 hours waterproof certification.
