Poco M8 Power is set to arrive in India on Tuesday as the newest member of the mid-range M8 series. Before the launch the Xiaomi sub-brand has shared multiple hints about the upcoming handset. It has recently verified details on an 8,000mAh battery and a Snapdragon 4 series processor. The dedicated microsite now displays the camera setup, software support information, and ingress protection rating. The Poco M8 Power will ship with the latest HyperOS version based on Android 16 and will include a dual rear camera unit.

The handset will be offered in India in three colour variants: Black, Blaze Orange, and Green. The company states that the device will carry an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Poco M8 Power is confirmed to include LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Its display will feature Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It will run Xiaomi Android 16-based HyperOS 3, and the maker promises four OS upgrades plus six years of security patches. The phone will have a matte rear panel and a metal frame.

For imaging, the Poco M8 Power will feature a dual rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel AI camera using a Light Fusion 400 sensor. An 8-megapixel front camera will handle selfies and video calls. It will offer camera features including Auto Night Mode, AI Eraser, AI Sky, AI Bokeh Portrait, and AI HDR optimisation. The Poco M8 Power will measure 8.45mm in thickness.

The company has confirmed that the Poco M8 Power will launch in India on August 4 at 12 pm IST and will go on sale via Flipkart. It will run on Qualcomm 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC, which scored over 6,30,000 points on AnTuTu. It will include 8GB of RAM, an 8,000mAh battery, and a vapour chamber cooling solution with a 10,416 sq mm Graphite heat dissipation area.
