Nothing has apparently verified plans for a fresh smartphone release in India, possibly arriving under the 4b label. The brand is set to introduce the device as the Nothing Phone 4b, which may act as its newest budget smartphone collection. During the reveal, the firm shared a preview of the handset that displays a lone rear camera module. This follows earlier reports that the company intends to roll out a new model in India after CMF shifted its phone projects over to Nothing.

Nothing Shows Off the Look of Its Next Phone for India

Through a post on X, the Carl Pei-led firm previewed an upcoming smartphone. The clip features a diagram of the device and concludes with a 4b pencil, which appears to confirm the launch of the Nothing Phone 4b in India as a new affordable series. In addition, a dedicated microsite for the b series device is now active on Flipkart, indicating its availability through the online retailer.

Regarding design, the expected Nothing Phone 4b comes with a single rear camera setup. The phone will also feature the brand's iconic transparent back panel that reveals screws and internal parts. It may include a flat rear surface and rounded edges, much like the higher-end Phone 4a models.

A recent report noted that CMF, the company's sub-brand, has passed its current smartphone projects to Nothing. One of these devices is expected to reach India next month. It is still unknown whether the model will carry the Nothing Phone 4b name. CMF has already stated it will skip new phone launches this year and has postponed the successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro.

Earlier this year, Nothing's Carl Pei also confirmed that the company will skip a new flagship smartphone release this year. Instead, the firm introduced the mid-range Nothing Phone 4a Pro and Phone 4a in India on March 5, starting at Rs. 39,999 and Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB plus 128GB configurations.
