The Ninja Crispi Microwave distinguishes itself by functioning also as an air fryer. Food is first warmed with microwaves before an option to finish with superheated air, yielding crisp results instead of a soggy texture and potentially combining two appliances into one versatile device. It becomes available today via SharkNinja's online store for $449.

Standard microwave presets are included such as popcorn, defrost, frozen dinner, and a mode for softening butter. The 1,000-watt Crispi Microwave features a flatbed interior rather than a turntable, which Ninja states provides 40 percent more usable cooking area than conventional models. Two popcorn bags fit inside, and the design is described as simpler to maintain.

After initial heating the unit transitions to air fryer mode with presets including air bake, max crisp, and air broil. Air reaches up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and circulates evenly around food thanks to a 5.5-quart glass container with an insert that allows airflow beneath items. Capacity handles an 8-pound chicken according to Ninja, and two lids are supplied: one for storage and a vented version for steaming vegetables.
