Microsoft has rolled out Copilot across numerous areas lately, spanning chat, Cowork, coding assistance, autonomous agents, and more. It now appears everything is being brought together in one location. During the Wednesday earnings call, CEO Satya Nadella confirmed the company is creating an AI super app that unites all Copilot experiences under a single interface.

What exactly is Microsoft building?

Nadella noted that Copilot has advanced quickly, evolving from a basic chat function to Cowork and then to Autopilots, the company's name for autonomous agents that manage extended tasks independently. All tools will merge into what he described as a super app for both everyday consumers and business users. No exact launch date was given beyond this year, yet he expressed strong confidence, labeling it a major advancement.

The move follows earlier reports from Fortune in May about Microsoft's quiet development of a super app, which Nadella's remarks now validate. He returned to the topic later in the call, framing it as the flagship application that various company roles would rely on daily.

Users who currently switch between Copilot for writing tasks, GitHub Copilot for code, and separate agent tools for routine work will see clear benefits.
