Following leaked promotional shots that revealed the design last month, Logitech has officially launched its latest ultraportable travel mouse. As suggested by the name, the Mobi Fold folds neatly in half thanks to a hinge that turns roughly 130 degrees. Available for $79.99 in graphite, off-white, lilac, and sand finishes, the Mobi Fold is not Logitech’s lightest or lowest-priced model, yet it ranks among the company’s most compact options and serves as a capable laptop trackpad replacement once users adapt to its unique shape.

The curved Mobi Fold shares a resemblance with other foldable mice such as the Surface Arc. However, while Microsoft’s version lies completely flat for easier storage, the Mobi Fold operates more like an old clamshell phone. Although it lacks a loud closing snap, the build feels solid, and Logitech reports the hinge endured testing equal to 15 years of everyday handling.

Charging occurs through a USB-C port, and a quick one-minute boost delivers up to 22 hours of use.

The hinge and much of the mouse surface are protected by a silicone coating that boosts grip and offers some drop resistance. Over the hinge itself, the material features a gathered pattern that stretches smoothly when the mouse is closed, preventing any pinching.

Weighing 79 grams, the Mobi Fold sits a few grams above Logitech’s Pebble Mouse 2 and the basic M196 model often used for travel. When folded it measures just over three-quarters of an inch thick and roughly 2.6 by 2.5 inches, giving it a very pocket-friendly profile reminiscent of wireless earbud cases, only slimmer.

The bottom houses the optical sensor plus a button for switching among three paired devices.

A removable panel grants access to the rechargeable battery, which may help prolong service life.

Logitech states the internal battery supports up to one month of operation on a full charge, with a one-minute top-up providing as much as 22 hours of runtime. The mouse is launching worldwide, and recent EU rules appear to have prompted the removable battery cover on the underside.

While not intended to replace a full desktop mouse, the Mobi Fold supplies sufficient controls and settings to serve well as a trackpad stand-in. An optical sensor offering 4K DPI sits on the base, and the top carries left and right buttons flanking a multifunction touch surface. Logitech’s optional Logi Options Plus software lets users adjust swipe actions so that vertical finger movements produce either rapid scrolling or slower line-by-line movement. The top and bottom edges of the touch area also act as extra clickable buttons that default to forward and back navigation but can be reassigned.

Folded, the Mobi Fold is noticeably smaller than the Logitech M196 often carried on trips, though it replaces a scroll wheel with a touch surface.

A single underside button handles pairing and lets users cycle through three connected devices; linking the mouse to laptops and an iPad proved straightforward. Folding the mouse in half powers it down without a separate switch. While the touch surface stays responsive during folding, the click buttons deactivate, reducing unintended inputs as the device is closed.

For travelers who prize minimal carry weight, the Mobi Fold offers a convenient way to keep a mouse handy, though a short adjustment period helps with its controls.

The palm-rest areas are entirely flat, which may limit long-term comfort for some users.

The mouse remains usable, yet it highlights how much more supportive traditional desktop mice can feel.

Microsoft’s Arc mouse curves gracefully to match the hand, whereas the Mobi Fold presents two flat planes that meet at the fold, more like a bent sheet of cardboard. Its buttons and touch panel lie completely level, and users who frequently lift and reposition a mouse may find the thin profile tricky to grasp securely on either side.

Travelers seeking a lightweight trackpad alternative will appreciate how small the Mobi Fold becomes while still offering useful extras.

At $80 the Mobi Fold provides strong portability along with more than basic features. Although a physical scroll wheel is often preferred, the touch panel works well given the mouse’s tiny folded size. Many users may still favor a laptop trackpad, yet the Mobi Fold pairs nicely with recent iPad multitasking improvements.
