Apple is reportedly planning to extend its future iPhone releases past the standard September timeframe. While the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a new iPhone Ultra are expected to debut later this year, the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and the next iPhone Air are slated for early 2027. Although unconfirmed by the company, images of the rumored iPhone Air 2 have appeared on the web. This upcoming device, often called the iPhone Air 2, may include an extra rear camera and an improved processor.

iPhone Air 2 Design (Anticipated)

In a recent video from Front Page Tech, YouTuber Jon Prosser presented images of the expected iPhone Air 2. The source indicates these visuals stem from Apple's supply chain details. Prosser notes that this model aims to resolve a key drawback of the original by adding a second rear camera.

The original iPhone Air, released in September 2025, includes a 48-megapixel Fusion main camera shared with other iPhone 18 devices. It supports sensor-shift optical image stabilization, an f/1.6 aperture, and 2X telephoto zoom.

According to the images from fpt, the iPhone Air 2 features a new rear camera setup with two sensors, a significant improvement from the first model. It is expected to have a 48-megapixel main camera paired with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.

Prosser mentioned that Apple might update the Face ID setup to create space for the extra camera components without increasing the device's thin design.

Internally, the iPhone Air 2 is said to use Apple's 2nm A20 or A20 Pro chip. The report indicates it will keep the titanium frame from the previous version. Prosser also aligned with JP Morgan analysts predicting a $50 price increase (about Rs. 4,800) for next-gen models. Other sources point to larger increases, up to $300 (around Rs. 28,600) for certain variants.

Earlier leaks suggest the iPhone Air 2 will have a 6.55-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. That report also mentioned the A20 Pro chipset.
