Huawei's Mysterious 'Dali' Tablet Leaks Online

Tipster Fixed Focus Digital claims in a recent Weibo update that Huawei is preparing a new tablet known by the codename Dali. This version is described as a downsized edition of the Huawei MatePad Pro Max. The forthcoming model builds on the current MatePad Pro Max yet adopts a more compact design. It is expected to serve as a high-end product.

The update shares several prior listings that point to the tablet codenamed Dali and suggest it could deliver a portable build similar to the iPad Pro. The update indicates a possible launch later this year. Specific details on the features and cost of this expected model are still unknown.

It is unclear what alterations the reduced-size edition of the Huawei MatePad Pro Max will introduce. The standard Huawei MatePad Pro Max arrived in May this year priced at EUR 1,399 for the 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage choice.

The Huawei MatePad Pro Max operates on HarmonyOS 4.3 and includes a 13.2-inch flexible OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display is said to reach up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness. It includes 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage capacity.

On the back the Huawei MatePad Pro Max carries a 50-megapixel rear camera. It also has a 12-megapixel front camera. The tablet comes with six speakers tuned via Huawei Sound. It works with the Huawei M-Pencil Pro stylus and the Huawei Glide Keyboard add-on.

The EU edition of the Huawei MatePad Pro Max uses a 9,760mAh battery while other global markets received the 10,400mAh battery model. The tablet supports 66W fast charging along with wired reverse charging up to 40W.
