Honor introduced the Power 2 handset in China during January, featuring a 10,080mAh battery that was promoted as the largest cell in any Honor device at the time. The company has now confirmed the upcoming launch of the Honor X80 Pro Max next week, which will include a notably bigger battery. The announcement also shared previews of the phone design along with colour variants and charging details. It displays a circular camera module on the rear holding one lens, plus a hole-punch cutout on the front display for the selfie camera.

Honor X80 Pro Max Set to Launch in China on June 22

The firm posted on Weibo on Monday that the Honor X80 Pro Max will debut in China on June 22 at 7 pm local time (4:30 pm IST). The post also verified that the device will include an 11,000mAh battery.

This capacity exceeds the battery in the Honor Power 2, released in China on January 6 with 10,080mAh capacity and 80W wired fast charging inside a 7.98mm thick body weighing roughly 216g.

The Honor X80 series phone will support 90W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging. It will be offered in China in four colours: Lightning Red, Moonlight White, Mystic Black, and Vibrant Orange. Design-wise, the model shows a flat rear panel with a circular camera module.

Centered Honor branding appears at the bottom of the panel. The phone carries a single 50-megapixel Matrix AI Vision camera paired with an LED flash. Power and volume buttons sit on the right edge, while the left side remains plain. Pre-orders for the Honor X80 Pro Max are now open in China through the Honor online store.

This follows a report indicating the Honor X80 Pro Max will have a 6.8-inch OLED display with 1,280 x 2,788 pixels. It is expected to run on an octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset from Qualcomm. The company is also set to reveal the standard Honor X80 model.
