Music streaming service Deezer has monitored AI-produced tracks submitted to its platform throughout the past year and has seen the volume rise steadily. The company now reports that AI-generated material accounts for more than half of all daily uploads.

Deezer indicated that uploads of AI-created tracks reached their highest level in June 2026, averaging 90,000 songs per day across the month.

The swift growth of AI music has prompted streaming platforms to determine how much of this material they will accept. Approaches differ across services, with some imposing firm limits while others adopt more flexible guidelines. Bandcamp has prohibited such tracks, Tidal has ended monetization for them, Apple Music offers an optional labeling system, and Spotify has outlined rules governing the extent of AI involvement in creation.

Deezer plans to remove AI-generated tracks that have not been played in the previous six months or that show signs of artificial streaming aimed at boosting payouts.

Deezer CEO Alexis Lanternier stated that the company has spent nearly two years addressing fraud and limiting revenue dilution from AI music. With AI tracks now forming half of daily uploads, additional measures are being introduced to protect artists and songwriters while prioritizing content that listeners enjoy.

The platform first shared AI upload figures in January 2025, when daily volume stood near 10,000 tracks or 10 percent of submissions. By April 2025 the count reached 20,000 tracks or 18 percent, then 30,000 tracks or 28 percent in September 2025, and 50,000 tracks or 34 percent in November 2025.

Numbers continued to climb this year, hitting 60,000 tracks or 39 percent in January 2026 and 75,000 tracks or 44 percent by April 2026.

Deezer began labeling AI music last year and its detection system can recognize material made with tools from Suno and Udio. The company has offered its detection technology to other services, though adoption by major platforms remains unclear. It also introduced a tool last month to scan playlists on Apple Music and Spotify for AI-generated content.
