Apple intends to stage another major product event later this month. At the gathering the company based in Cupertino is slated to introduce its initial MacBook featuring a touchscreen along with a Tandem OLED screen. The portable computer may appear alongside an updated iMac powered by the M6 chip, a fresh MacBook Pro equipped with the M6 processor, and an updated iPad Mini that includes an OLED panel. The firm is also said to be preparing a refresh of its retail locations that could begin early next month. During that refresh Apple plans to place the new Mac products on display for buyers.

The upcoming MacBook marks Apple's first laptop to include an OLED touchscreen. It continues the company's revised approach toward new product areas. The device is expected to run on the M6 processor and may incorporate Dynamic Island similar to recent iPhone models. It would also become the first MacBook to remove the notch entirely.

Apple has recently introduced its M6 processor built on TSMC's 2nm process. The company does not plan additional M6 variants and instead aims to speed up work on the M7 chip focused on on device AI tasks and related functions.
