Apple prepares to host its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026 this month. The yearly developer gathering occurs at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Apple Park, California. This five-day program begins with a keynote presentation on June 8. Developers can attend at no cost and will receive direct access to Apple specialists along with new tools, frameworks, and capabilities. The prior WWDC highlighted Apple Intelligence additions, such as an updated Siri, yet several of those elements have not launched.

The California-based firm is set to introduce updated editions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, plus further systems, at WWDC 2026. Here is what observers anticipate.

WWDC 2026: Siri, AI Features, and iOS 27

The refreshed Siri may command attention at WWDC 2026. Reports indicate the company has focused on evolving the assistant from a basic voice tool into a conversational partner able to manage intricate tasks across applications and services. Siri should gain on-screen awareness, reach personal data across devices, condense emails, organize calendars, and process several instructions from one request.

These capabilities were previewed nearly two years earlier during the iOS 18 event, but delays have kept them from users. The firm reportedly encountered technical hurdles that postponed the smarter Siri rollout.

Apple is also creating a dedicated Siri application for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Similar to ChatGPT and Gemini, the app may include conversation records, file and image support, iCloud chat synchronization, and a fluid dialogue interface.

Apple Intelligence is expected to reach beyond Siri. The company is preparing notable Visual Intelligence enhancements. If realized, users could identify nutrition facts, contact details, and objects via the Camera app. The Photos app may add AI functions such as Extend, Reframe, and Enhance, while the existing Clean Up tool could see meaningful upgrades.

Smarter versions of Genmoji, Image Playground, and Shortcuts are also possible. A new Write with Siri option may assist with drafting messages, emails, and documents throughout Apple platforms.

Outside AI, iOS 27 and macOS 27 are projected to deliver speed gains, issue corrections, improved battery performance, and tweaks to the Liquid Glass design from last year. Apple may refresh sections of the Camera, Wallet, Safari, and Weather apps.

watchOS 27 is likely to extend the modular watch face from Apple Watch Ultra to regular models. Heart-rate monitoring and fitness tools are also expected to receive updates.
