Google has started distributing the initial stable build of Android 17 to supported Pixel handsets this week. The company also shared the complete roster of Pixel models cleared to receive the newest platform version. Android 17 Supports 20 Pixel Devices

With Android 17, Google maintained nearly the same device list used for Android 16 while adding the newly launched Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold models introduced last August.

Consequently, owners of any Pixel 6 series phone remain eligible. The original Pixel 6 reached markets including India in October 2021.

The Pixel Tablet, announced in May 2023, is likewise receiving the update. Android 17 adds multitasking tools aimed at tablets and foldables.

One highlight is the refreshed Bubbles feature, which converts apps into compact floating windows. On larger screens these windows reside in a dedicated Bubble Bar at the lower-right edge, letting users switch quickly between active apps.

Scroll to the bottom and select System.
Tap System Update.
If no update appears, choose Check for updates.
When the update is shown, select Download and Install.
