The All England Club believes there will be no player protests at Wimbledon after holding meetings during the French Open.

Representatives for leading tennis players, headed by former Women's Tennis Association chief executive Larry Scott, held talks with Wimbledon officials on Monday to review the ongoing dispute, with both sides describing the exchanges as constructive.

A spokesperson for the All England Lawn Tennis Club stated: "We welcomed the chance to meet with player representatives at Roland Garros. Our conversations regarding this year's Championships proved positive. We anticipate further detailed discussions after the Championships conclude."

The AELTC prize money reveal scheduled for next Thursday marks another key point in the ongoing talks, with much interest surrounding the expected increase. Player representatives told the AELTC they anticipate a notable boost to the total prize fund. The AELTC typically finalizes its prize money total close to the announcement date to retain flexibility on its financial input.

Leading up to the French Open, top men's and women's players expressed rising frustration with the grand slam tournaments' responses to their concerns. They felt the French Tennis Federation's prize money offer fell short, leading them to pursue stronger measures. The FFT set a total fund of 52.6 million pounds for this year, reflecting a 9.5 percent rise from the prior year. This amount trails the 53.5 million pounds provided by Wimbledon last year, which players anticipate will grow substantially this time.

Following world number one Aryna Sabalenka's forecast at the Italian Open last month that players might need to boycott grand slams to reach their aims, leading players including both world number ones Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner opted for a media boycott during pre-tournament press sessions.

The players restricted media access to 15 minutes, limiting comments to the pre-tournament press conference and required host broadcaster interview. They declined to engage with tournament rights holders, who pay substantial fees for exclusive player access.

This led player representatives to set up separate meetings with the FFT, the AELTC and the United States Tennis Association. In last week's discussion, FFT officials agreed to review the player group's proposals and provide a specific counter-offer in the weeks after the French Open, viewed positively by both sides. No comparable agreements emerged from the AELTC meeting, and the Wimbledon prize fund, starting 29 June, will likely shape the dispute's next phase.

The disagreement between top players and the grand slam events began with the first letter from the player group last March, as players seek a larger portion of revenues from these tournaments. The players first proposed to the four grand slams greater revenue sharing, support for player welfare including pensions, and improved player representation via a grand slam player council.
