England lock Rosie Galligan, a winner of the Women's World Cup, is leaving Saracens to rejoin Harlequins when the season ends.

At 28 years old, she is currently taking time away from the sport ahead of the birth of her child in October.

Her partner Marlie Packer, also an England forward, has previously confirmed her own transfer from Saracens to Harlequins.

Galligan had an initial stint with Quins from 2021 to 2023, following two championship wins during her early time at Sarries. Upon her return to north London, she featured in over 50 matches for the club.

She will observe her current Saracens colleagues finish their campaign on 28 June in the Premiership Women's Rugby play-off final versus Trailfinders before making the switch back to Quins.

"I had always believed I would return at some stage, and the timing feels appropriate now," she mentioned on Harlequins' official site.

"I truly admire the approach of head coach Ross Chisholm. He brings excellent charisma and builds a strong team culture while being an outstanding coach.

"I am also eager to collaborate with forwards coach Damian Welch. He possesses valuable qualities from which I can learn a great deal."

Chisholm commented: "Since her previous time in a Harlequins jersey, Rosie has elevated her performance significantly, emerging as a World Cup champion and a genuinely elite second-row player.

"We are thrilled to support her as she approaches motherhood for the first time and recognize the substantial expertise and rugby intelligence she will contribute to our setup.

"Away from matches, she will elevate standards in the group, and during games, she will commit fully to the jersey.
