Tandy insists his players will offer no excuses over any travel or logistical issues.

"We face two exceptional challenges with limited preparation time, yet this represents a distinctive test for the group," the Wales head coach said.

"We will likely hold just one session together in Argentina because of separate flights arriving there.

In South Africa we might manage two sessions, although we continue to review the arrangements."

Wales have named a 33-strong touring party, and the packed schedule could prompt selection adjustments as numerous players receive game time.

"We are growing more competitive, so certain positions allow us to rotate players given the physical demands," Tandy explained.

The win over Fiji has eased pressure, but Tandy stresses the squad will not dwell on the Cardiff City Stadium result.

"International rugby is extremely tough," Tandy said.

"We will savour the victory without becoming carried away or distracted by outside opinions."

Argentina arrive motivated after a narrow defeat in a 12-try contest against Scotland, yet Wales recall the 52-28 loss inflicted by the Pumas in Tandy's first match in charge during November 2025.

Tandy believes the tour experience will strengthen Wales.

"I have always enjoyed tours, whether with Scotland, the British and Irish Lions or any other side," said Tandy, who joined Wales after serving as defence coach for Scotland.

"Players connect on a deeper level because there are fewer distractions and the whole group is together.

Everyone learns more and experiences different cultures when visiting new countries.

It will be cooler in Argentina, so the squad must adapt quickly to the travel demands."

Tandy sees the tour as vital preparation for next year's World Cup in Australia.

"The World Cup will involve considerable travel," Tandy noted.

"These tours create tighter bonds and greater understanding among the players.

It will benefit our coaches and those who have not been involved for an extended period to build stronger relationships."
