A familiar cast of teams gathers at Edgbaston for the men's T20 Blast Finals Day on Saturday.

Between them Northants Steelbacks, reigning champions Somerset, Hampshire Hawks and Notts Outlaws hold 10 domestic T20 trophies and know the big stage well.

After Wednesday's quarter-finals the quick turnaround promises clear skies and exciting contests on Finals Day.

Somerset have shown once again this summer that they cannot be counted out.

The holders lost four of their first six matches yet still reached an 11th Finals Day appearance, the fifth in succession.

They won five of their last six group games, including big victories over Northants, and then produced a stunning comeback in the quarter-final against Yorkshire.

Trailing heavily, all-rounder Craig Overton smashed 79 from 30 balls to seal a remarkable win and keep alive hopes of a first successful title defence.

Skipper Lewis Gregory believes consistency can finally deliver three titles in four seasons.

Northants Steelbacks

Finals Day record: Winners in 2013 and 2016

2026 top run-scorer: Chris Lynn with 475 runs

2026 top wicket-taker: James Sales with 21 wickets

Group record: Nine wins and three defeats, finishing top of the Central and West Group

Northants posted the strongest group-stage record and reached the knockout phase with little drama.

They beat Gloucestershire convincingly in the quarter-final and now face Somerset again after two earlier defeats to the champions.

David Willey led the chase with an unbeaten 47 as the Steelbacks eased home.

Chris Lynn suffered a toe injury but Northants remain confident of reaching a sixth Finals Day and claiming a third title.

Hampshire Hawks

Finals Day record: Winners in 2010, 2012 and 2022

2026 top run-scorer: James Vince with 435 runs

2026 top wicket-taker: Scott Currie with 22 wickets

Group record: Eight wins and four defeats, finishing top of the South Group

Hampshire share the record for most Finals Day appearances with Somerset.

They recovered from a mid-season dip to crush Essex in the quarter-final, where James Vince scored 125 and Sonny Baker took 5 for 24.

Vince says another strong display could secure a fourth title and set a new record for most wins.

Notts Outlaws

Finals Day record: Winners in 2017 and 2020

2026 top run-scorer: George Munsey with 488 runs

2026 top wicket-taker: Mohammad Ali with 19 wickets

Group record: Eight wins and four defeats, finishing top of the North Group

Notts return to Finals Day for the first time since winning the title in 2020.

They overcame an early scare against Surrey in the quarter-final, with Olly Stone starring in the final over to secure victory.

Stone believes the team is ready to claim a third crown this weekend.
