Jake Paul has conceded that the fractured jaw he sustained in his loss to Anthony Joshua last December could potentially end his boxing career.

The content creator turned fighter was halted in that December matchup by a devastating punch from the former world champion Joshua. Five months on, medical experts continue to track the injury's progress.

"We'll see what my doctors conclude," Paul shared with Uncrowned on Monday. "I'll get a clearer timeline, or even learn if fighting again is possible. That's very much a real possibility. The jaw feels much improved as time passes, but clearance is essential before I can spar."

"Absolutely, my boxing career could be done," he continued. "It all depends on how the bone mends. There's also a missing tooth, so I'll likely need an implant. Not sure how much extra time that adds, but we must determine the best course for me."

The setback against Joshua represents Paul's second loss across 14 professional bouts, in which he demonstrated skill yet clear limitations. It marked his initial encounter with a top-tier boxer; previous opponents included faded veterans - like 58-year-old Mike Tyson - or stars from other disciplines, such as ex-NBA player Nate Robinson in his sophomore fight.

At 29, Paul never truly dominated the sport but thrived as a sharp entrepreneur, pocketing millions from his outings. He expressed no remorse about challenging Joshua, despite the lasting damage.

"It proved a huge success on various fronts, and I had an outstanding experience," Paul reflected. "Net positive across the board for me, my businesses, my ring knowledge, my content - yes. I really will take on anyone, as I've always said, and now people get it. Entertainment drives me."
