The Miami Heat shared a link to a planned live stream titled LeBron James Introductory Press Conference dated July 27 on its YouTube channel, an action a team spokesperson described as an error.

The spokesperson explained to ESPN's Shams Charania on Tuesday that the social media staff had been readying for the chance of James signing and accidentally published the link on the team's YouTube page before deleting it.

James is an unrestricted free agent for the first time since 2018 and has considered his choices over recent weeks. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers and Heat rank among the leading teams in his deliberations, sources told ESPN, though other clubs including the Golden State Warriors have surfaced as possible destinations.

James' agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, noted earlier Tuesday that he remains unsure when his client will finalize his team for the upcoming season.

Heat president Pat Riley stated last week that he and newly acquired star Giannis Antetokounmpo would greet James warmly in Miami.

James, heading into his 24th season, captured two NBA titles with the Heat across his four seasons there.
