Richa Ghosh nudges a single to cover and reaches fifty... a wave comes from the balcony! Harmanpreet brings the innings to a close, sparing England further toil... at least for now.

86th over: India 340-7 (Ghosh 49, Satghare 18) Sayali Satghare wastes no time farming the strike! She cracks three boundaries from Lauren Filer, past gully, point and square leg. Simple runs as England fade in the field.

85th over: India 327-7 (Ghosh 48, Satghare 6) Great strike! Ghosh drives Ecclestone straight for a one-bounce four. She repeats the shot next ball but finds Issy Wong at long on who spills an easy catch. A typical moment in this Test for England. Harmanpreet smiles from the balcony.

84th over: India 322-7 (Ghosh 43, Satghare 6) Filer is worked for a single behind point by Ghosh. Harmanpreet now stands on the balcony...

83rd over: India 321-7 (Ghosh 42, Satghare 6) A single to Ghosh and five dots blocked by Satghare. India aim to grind England down and have earned that right. Any stubborn English fightback into tomorrow might prompt questions about this phase, though it looks unlikely. Plenty of wickets could fall this afternoon and evening.
