England's all-time leading points scorer Emily Scarratt has pledged her ongoing commitment to the Red Roses coaching staff.

The 36-year-old first came into John Mitchell's group temporarily to serve as lead attack and backs coach throughout this year's Women's Six Nations.

After England secured their eighth straight Women's Six Nations crown in May, Scarratt went back to her assistant coaching duties at Loughborough Lightning in the Premiership Women's Rugby competition.

She is now stepping away from Loughborough to take up a full-time position with the Red Roses.

"The Six Nations brought both challenges and great rewards," Scarratt said.

"Having played for the Red Roses for many years, moving into coaching within that same group felt fresh and occasionally daunting.

"Uncertainty existed, yet I have relished the chance and gained valuable knowledge already.

"This squad holds strong ambitions, and I feel honored to contribute as we develop and aim for greater achievements."

After departing Loughborough following eight years in playing and coaching roles, the two-time World Cup winner continued: "I worked alongside outstanding individuals who pushed and backed me throughout.

"I want to express deep appreciation to all at the club. My time there will always be remembered with thanks. Thank you."

Previous England attack coach Lou Meadows departed following the Rugby World Cup victory at a packed Allianz Stadium last September.

Scarratt, who ended her playing career after that World Cup success, supported the Red Roses attack in scoring 27 additional points during 2026 compared with the 2025 Women's Six Nations.

"Emily has already influenced our setup meaningfully as a coach, and throughout the Six Nations she delivered great value through her perspective, composure and background each day," Mitchell added.
