Jordan Pickford: The England goalkeeper may feel he could have stopped Neto's opening goal, yet he produced several key stops later in the match. 5

Ainsley Maitland-Niles: Chelsea's goal arrived down his flank and the summer arrival had a subdued outing at right-back. 5

James Tarkowski: Tarkowski delivered a steady showing and played an important part in the physical contest between the teams. 6

Jarrad Branthwaite: The recently capped England defender produced several vital blocks and tackles. 6

Vitali Mykolenko: The returning full-back delivered a fine cross to set up a late first-half opening for Barry. 6

Harrison Armstrong: The academy product lifted the crowd with a strong challenge that drew a questionable booking early on. He also cleared a shot off the line later. 7

James Garner: The midfielder's set-piece quality fell short of his usual level, but he contributed solidly in defense and helped disrupt play. 6

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: The attacking midfielder found it hard to fashion clear chances yet delivered a threatening cross that created an opening for Grealish and added another useful free-kick delivery in the second half. 6

Merlin Rohl: Named as an unexpected starter, Rohl defended solidly and posed a threat in attack. He had Everton's first shot and made an outstanding block to deny Rogers after the break. 7

Jack Grealish: The winger began quietly but improved as the game progressed and fashioned Everton's clearest chance with a curling cross for Barry. 6

Thierno Barry: The French forward may feel he should have converted a first-half header and later fired another effort straight at the keeper during a difficult afternoon. 5

Emiliano Martinez: The Argentina goalkeeper was lucky not to be punished for delaying a goal-kick and giving away a corner. He made several saves, none of them especially testing, before being stretchered off following a collision with Jarrad Branthwaite. 6

Josh Acheampong: Acheampong looked lively going forward but received a booking for a late challenge on Grealish in the first half. 6

Maxence Lacroix: One of Lacroix's strongest displays since arriving at Chelsea. He saw a header from a corner cleared off the line and defended well throughout. 7

Levi Colwill: A fairly uneventful afternoon for the centre-back, who faced little defensive pressure. 6

Pedro Neto: The Portugal winger netted 43 seconds after the restart following a long-range attempt just before half-time. He featured heavily in Chelsea's attacks but picked up an unnecessary booking for dissent. Neto finished his second goal in the 90th minute after a blocked free-kick fell to him inside the area. 8

Jordan Henderson: Influential across the pitch, with strong set-piece delivery and a blocked shot of his own. 7

Moises Caicedo: Enjoyed the midfield physical battle and came close to scoring with a fine first-time volley that hit the crossbar just before half-time. 7

Jorrel Hato: The Dutch defender, Chelsea's sole change from the previous win, supplied the assist for Neto's opener and stayed composed on the ball. 7

Cole Palmer: A quieter showing than usual, though he remained a threat when in possession. He tested the keeper early and later lifted a clever effort over the bar. 6

Morgan Rogers: The club-record signing displayed his competitive spirit throughout. His clever backheel played a key role in the move leading to Chelsea's goal. 7

Joao Pedro: A subdued display from the Brazilian, who had been in strong form. Pedro missed a good chance to seal the win in the 86th minute. 5
