3x3 wheelchair basketball: The Scottish netball side came close but the women’s 3x3 wheelchair basketball semi-final saw the home squad succeed, defeating Australia 15-12 to advance to the final against England.

Netball: Scotland could not match the pace of the Sunshine Girls as Jamaica controlled the closing stages to secure a 45-43 victory.

Netball: Jamaica defeated Scotland 78-34 in their previous Commonwealth Games meeting, so this performance marks a notable achievement for the Thistles regardless of the final score.

Netball: Jamaica raised their intensity in the final period while Scotland’s accuracy dipped. Missed attempts and loose passes allowed Jamaica to lead 40-38 with roughly seven minutes remaining.

3x3 wheelchair basketball: In the second women’s semi-final Scotland hold a narrow 7-6 advantage over Australia in a closely contested match.

Netball: Scotland are pushing hard for a surprise result against the fourth-ranked Jamaica. The score stands level at 35-35 after three quarters, with strong displays from centre Hannah Leighton and Emma Barrie shifting momentum toward the hosts.

3x3 wheelchair basketball: England delivered a commanding display to reach the final with an 18-10 win over Canada. The Birmingham 2022 champions trailed early and resorted to difficult two-point shots under pressure from England’s tight defence.

Netball: In a contest likely to decide second place in Group B, Jamaica lead Scotland 30-26 during the third quarter.

3x3 wheelchair basketball: England’s women aim to follow the men’s earlier success against Canada and currently lead 14-5.

Netball: Scotland v Jamaica is underway in Group B. Both teams sit on four points ahead of one final group fixture. New Zealand lead the group on six points. The winner here is well placed to secure the second semi-final berth.

Track cycling: England’s Matt Richardson has withdrawn due to injury. Richardson, who switched allegiance after two silver medals for Australia at Paris 2024, picked up the issue during training in Japan. Cycling begins tomorrow.

3x3 wheelchair basketball: England defeated Canada and will face Australia in the final at 6.30pm BST. Canada meet Scotland for bronze an hour earlier. In the women’s 3x3 basketball semi-finals Australia lead Jamaica 19-7 with five minutes left.

3x3 basketball: The men’s final pits England against Australia at 7.30pm BST. New Zealand and Scotland contest bronze at 4.30pm. In wheelchair basketball England lead Canada by four points late in the second semi-final while Australia beat Scotland 19-12 in the first.

Boxing: Northern Ireland’s Michaela Walsh overcame Lara Brown (SCO) in the women’s 57kg quarter-finals and praised the 19-year-old for a strong contest.

Mens 200m: Fastest heat qualifiers include Jevaughn Powell (JAM) 20.28, Udodi Chudi Onwuzurike (NGR) 20.31, Christopher Taylor (JAM) 20.36, Zablon Ekwam (KEN) 20.42, Zharnel Hughes (ENG) 20.45 and Animesh Kujur (IND) 20.46. Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme also advanced safely.

Tickets remain available for many remaining sessions in Glasgow, though prices for evening track events may limit family attendance.

Women’s heptathlon: Northern Ireland’s Kate O’Connor leads after a season-best javelin throw of 52.85m, extending her advantage. Jade O’Dowda (ENG), Mia Scerri (AUS), Ella Rush (GIB) and Anna McCauley remain in contention ahead of the 800m.

Boxing: Amber-Jane Wall (CAN) defeated Niamh Brookes (WAL) in the women’s 51kg quarter-final after an early lead faded for Brookes. Further quarter-finals continue until 3.30pm BST.

Women’s 100m medley relay Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Guernsey reached the final while Australia posted the fastest qualifying time by four seconds.

Men’s 200m Zharnel Hughes (ENG) eased through his heat in 20.42 seconds and will contest the semi-finals.

Men’s 3x3 basketball Australia defeated Scotland 21-14 in the semi-final. England face New Zealand in the other semi-final.

Women’s heptathlon After the long jump Northern Ireland’s Kate O’Connor leads with 4496 points, 84 ahead of England’s Jade O’Dowda and 196 clear of Australia’s Mia Scerri. Javelin and 800m remain.

Seine Stowers wins 77kg women’s weightlifting gold for Samoa!

Stowers headed a podium completed by British athletes with Isabella Brown (ENG) taking silver after a personal best snatch and Laura Hughes (WAL) claiming bronze.

Men’s mile In heat two Scotland’s Jake Wightman placed behind Australia’s Cameron Myers and ahead of Wales’ Jake Heywood. Both Wightman and Myers will challenge world record holder Kerr in the final.

Men’s mile Josh Kerr advanced comfortably through his heat, encouraging the crowd in the home straight.

Women’s 200m Jamaica’s Lavanya Williams and Singapore’s Veronica Shanti Pereira advanced from heat five. Heat six saw Jamaica’s Alana Reid win in 22.95 with strong times from Canada, Bahamas and Malawi athletes.

Men’s 200m freestyle James Guy posted the quickest time to reach the final while Tom Dean advanced despite finishing fourth in his heat.

Men’s 200m freestyle Duncan Scott may miss qualification after finishing fourth in his heat as three swimmers including Matt Richards (WAL) recorded faster times.

Men’s 200m freestyle England’s James Guy won his heat ahead of Australia’s Sam Short. Gabriel Shepherd placed third. Duncan Scott finished fourth in his heat. Wales’ Tyler Melbourne-Smith and Harrison Tyler impressed to advance.

Women’s 200m Heat four went to Nigeria’s Jennifer Obi Chukwuka with Canada’s Marie-Éloïse Leclair strong in lane eight.

Women’s 200m Australia’s Monique Hanlon won her heat ahead of Zambia’s Edna Ng’andula.

Women’s 200m Australia’s Misa Gross won heat two in 23.21 with Kenya’s Millicent Ndoro second.

Women’s 200m breaststroke Angharad Evans produced the fastest qualifying time of 2:26.48, ahead of Australia’s Tara Kinder.

Women’s 200m Alyson Bell finished just behind heat winner Beyonce Defreitas of the British Virgin Islands at Scotstoun Stadium.
