Officials from Gulf countries and South Asia reached out to US President Donald Trump urging him to abandon planned strikes on Iran after he announced the operation on Truth Social, Politico reported Friday morning.

The outreach included Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Pakistani defense chief Asim Munir, who informed Trump that an initial framework for further negotiations was ready.

A Trump administration source explained to Politico that these nations hold sway with Tehran and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, and their assurances prompted the President to reverse the attack plans.

Trump wrote on Truth Social Thursday that discussions with Iranian leadership had advanced to the highest levels and received approval, leading him to cancel the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran that evening.

He noted that talks and final points had been approved in both broad concept and specific detail by all sides. Yet Fars, a semi-official Iranian outlet, soon reported that no agreement had been accepted by the country.

Israeli sources informed Channel 12 that Israel does not accept that any deal has been concluded.

Trump Declares Deal Reached and Conflict Ended

At a virtual tele-rally for Burt Jones on Thursday night, Trump said, "I don't know if you heard, but we ended the war with Iran today, and they agreed they will never have a nuclear weapon."

Iranian state media quoted foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei as noting that while much of the negotiating text is complete, Iran will not yield on its core positions, Reuters reported.

"Iran has not yet reached a final conclusion on an agreement," he stated.

Diplomats remained doubtful that Khamenei had consented to terms. "I'll believe it when I see it," one Arab diplomat remarked to Politico.

The Prime Minister's office indicated that Netanyahu thanked Trump for backing the ceasefire with Iran, which would cover removal of enriched nuclear material, dismantling of enrichment sites, curbs on missile output, and halting Iran's aid to regional terrorist groups.

Israel is not included in the US memorandum of understanding with Iran.
