The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has blocked donation paths on its site for House Democrats who backed an end to US assistance for Israel.

Of the Democrats endorsed by AIPAC for the November elections, 15 lost access after supporting an amendment to trim the full $3.3 billion in military and humanitarian support for Israel from a spending measure.

Those Democrats remained listed as pro-Israel on the AIPAC donations page, but the contribution feature was turned off.

Other lawmakers shown on the page also lack donation options, though each has a stated reason such as not running again or turning down AIPAC funds, except for these 15.

The amendment lost by a 314-104 margin on Wednesday, drawing support from 103 Democrats and one Republican.

AIPAC stated publicly that it values the 314 members who opposed the effort led by Thomas Massie and regrets the choice made by the 103 Democrats who aligned with him.

Some progressive Democrats seek to halt US aid to Israel during primary campaigns, while others focus on limiting funds to defensive systems alone.

Even if passed, the measure would have stayed symbolic, needing Senate approval and facing a likely veto from President Donald Trump, whose policy has centered on strong Israel ties.

US military support for Israel and campaign funds from pro-Israel groups remain divisive topics among Democrats this cycle.

House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York announced Tuesday he would vote against the Massie amendment, calling it overly wide in scope.

Yet the next day, the No. 2 Democrat, Katherine Clark of Massachusetts, said she favored it, arguing against blank-check military aid to nations that fail to meet US standards.

Clark was among the 15 Democrats whose donation option was removed from the AIPAC page.
