China's electrified rival to the Range Rover and Rolls-Royce Cullinan has been confirmed with full details for several European export markets, offering clues about potential Australian availability.

The sizable Zeekr 9X Super Hybrid SUV has drawn attention since its China debut last September, where it secured over 40,000 orders in the first hour thanks to its large size, premium features and strong performance figures.

Interest registrations have opened in select left-hand drive European countries such as Sweden, Norway, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Denmark and Germany, with specifications now confirmed for those areas.

The standout element is the single powertrain choice. Pairing a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with two electric motors and a 55kWh battery, the Zeekr 9X Ultra extended-range electric vehicle delivers 660kW and 935Nm, achieving a 0-100km/h sprint in 4.1 seconds along with 179km of electric range and up to 737km combined, based on early European estimates.

The Zeekr 9X Ultra uses a 900V electrical architecture, and its 55.1kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt battery supports DC fast-charging up to 330kW.

At peak DC rate the 9X reaches 10-80 per cent charge in 9.5 minutes, while the 11kW AC onboard charger completes 10-100 per cent in 5.5 hours.

Zeekr lists combined CO2 emissions of 77g/km, energy use of 28.5kWh/100km and combined fuel consumption of 8.9L/100km when the battery is depleted.

The model reaches 100km/h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 240km/h despite measuring 5239mm long, 2029mm wide and weighing 2900kg at the kerb.

The Ultra version with the 55kWh battery sits in the middle of the range, while the Chinese Hyper flagship uses a tri-motor EREV setup producing 1030kW and 1410Nm for a 3.1-second 0-100km/h time and 280km WLTC range from a 70kWh pack.

Personalisation is limited to three exterior colours: Crystal White as standard, with Lava Grey and Onyx Black as options. 22-inch Monoblock alloys, body-colour grille and satin-chrome D-pillar trims are optional, while a Black Pack is available only with Onyx Black paint.

The Nappa leather cabin comes in Charcoal Black as standard, with Caramel Brown or Moonblade Blue offered alongside Onyx Black paint.

European models carry a 10-year or 200,000km warranty, with the high-voltage battery covered for eight years or 200,000km.

Zeekr Australia has previously suggested the 9X could reach local showrooms in late 2026 or the first half of 2027.

CarExpert contacted the brand's local team about timing and specifications and received this response: 9X has indeed been confirmed for the Australian market, however local specs and variants are still being finalised so it is too early to confirm details.

European pricing remains unannounced, as does Australian pricing, though the 9X Ultra starts at the equivalent of A$102,534 in China compared with more than $270,000 for the entry-level Range Rover here.
