Attending Laguna Seca as a fan or enjoying a ride-along can be exciting - I once rode shotgun with Timo Bernhard in a Cayman GT4 RS there - but piloting a car around its turns yourself is an entirely new level of adrenaline. I learned this firsthand last week during Porsche's new Track Experience program, where fellow journalists and I tackled the legendary track in 911 Carrera S coupes. The famous corkscrew delivers a real jolt, but the rest of the layout offers thrills, fun, and plenty of edge-of-your-seat moments even in these capable yet forgiving machines.

Now that Laguna Seca is checked off my list, my mind has turned to other legendary circuits I yearn to conquer. That prompts me to ask you the same: Which race track do you most want to drive?

My pick

I've had the privilege of lapping several stellar tracks over the years, including Sonoma Raceway, Circuito Ascari, and Circuit Parcmotor Castellolí. Yet, bucket-list favorites like the Nürburgring, Circuit de la Sarthe, Spa, and Silverstone still call to me. Rising above them all, however, is Japan's Suzuka Circuit.

Suzuka has long been a standout in my sim racing sessions, thanks to its unique figure-eight design and diverse corner challenges. The full configuration is legendary, but the shorter variants look equally enticing. It's a highlight for TV viewing during Formula 1 or Super GT events, and hearing from drivers who rave about its flow only fuels my ambition to experience it firsthand.
