Projects sustain the connection

The automobile I have kept longest and driven the greatest distance is my 1976 Porsche 912E acquired in 2015. It feels satisfying to observe that this one endures, as I had not previously owned any vehicle for a full decade. The accumulated miles have left visible effects, giving the car a more worn appearance lately, and I have performed limited work on it in recent years.

Despite the faded paint, emerging rust spots, and a currently faulty ignition, I continue to value and enjoy this car fully. Difficult periods must sometimes be navigated before improvement arrives, and I anticipate better times ahead for both of us. I retrieved the car from storage and restored its operation. I have crossed the country with it several times and shared many memorable journeys. The future travels we will undertake together spark my anticipation for what lies ahead.

With my 911 Turbo project approaching completion, the moment seems right to devote attention to restoring my longstanding favorite to its prior condition or perhaps an updated version. Part of caring for a car involves progressing together. As I mature and my preferences evolve, I can adapt this vehicle to suit new requirements. Resolve cosmetic concerns, improve its running condition, and incorporate additional personal features. I still cherish it, and the hands-on work strengthens that bond further.
