Toyota's top-priced vehicle in Australia is seeing major price reductions as the brand aims to clear remaining stock.

New and demonstrator Toyota Tundra pickups produced up to July 31, 2025, qualify for waived on-road costs. This eliminates the need to cover the initial 12 months of registration, compulsory third-party insurance, stamp duty, or dealer delivery fees.

Buyers also receive a $10,000 end-of-financial-year incentive available to private buyers as well as Bronze, Silver, and Gold fleet customers. This exceeds the $8000 discounts Ford Australia is providing on model-year-2023 F-150 models.

The package runs from May 1 to June 30, 2026, unless Toyota decides to extend it. Premium paint is still an optional $675 extra.

The deal's value ranges from $18,903 for Limited models to $19,413 for Platinum versions for buyers in New South Wales. This occurs even as Toyota highlighted earlier this year that it avoided discounts during the RAV4's switch to a new generation.

Toyota Australia seldom provides discounts this large, although it is currently promoting deposit incentives of $5000 to $7500 on the bZ4X electric SUV.

GMSV shows no promotions for its competing Chevrolet Silverado 1500, while Ram Trucks Australia offers reduced financing on the 1500 Rebel and a complimentary tub upgrade for the Big Horn.

In the '1500'-series category - known as half-ton pickups in the US - the Tundra slightly outperformed the Ford F-150 in Australia last year, with 837 sales versus 792. The F-150 faced a stop-sale for several months during 2025.

Through the first four months of 2026, however, the Tundra trails competitors, recording 313 deliveries against 666 for the Ram 1500, 661 for the F-150, and 590 for the Silverado 1500.

The Tundra range starts at $155,990 excluding on-road costs for the entry-level Limited trim, which comes generously equipped. This positions it about $40,000 above the cheapest F-150, $20,000 over the base Silverado 1500, and roughly $14,000 pricier than the entry Ram 1500. The current promotion helps narrow these differences.

Similar to the Ram, Ford, and Chevrolet offerings, the Tundra arrives from North America in left-hand drive. Walkinshaw Automotive converts the Toyota, Ram, and Chevrolet to right-hand drive in Australia, while RMA Automotive manages the Ford conversions.

Following a limited lease evaluation program with 300 units, Toyota Australia began full retail sales of the Tundra late in 2024.
