Tesla has started distributing the newest v14.3.3 edition of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised software across Australia, with the first compatible Model Y and Model 3 vehicles receiving the update last Friday, June 19.

FSD (Supervised) launched in Australia in September 2025 for vehicles equipped with Hardware 4 (HW4) cameras, and this local revision differs slightly from the v14.3.3 system released in the US during April.

The update covers Australia's current Model Y mid-size electric SUV, the top-selling new vehicle across all categories last month (May 2026), which overtook prior leaders including the Ford Ranger, Toyota HiLux and Toyota RAV4.

Besides the Model Y, Tesla Model 3 sedans in Australian showrooms also carry HW4 hardware, and both models now offer FSD (Supervised) through a subscription after its initial release as a one-time purchase.

Tesla explained that the v14.3.3 software draws on an improved Reinforcement Learning stage for training the FSD neural network, bringing gains in many driving situations.

This aims to reduce the need for driver interventions during FSD use, with the app now showing the longest stretch without intervention.

The company has also enhanced the neural network encoder, leading to improved traffic sign recognition and a claimed 20 per cent quicker reaction time.

Other reported advantages cover better responses to emergency vehicles, fewer unneeded lane changes, smoother handling of complex intersections and roadworks, plus improved detection of small animals.

A new Sloth Speed Profile has been introduced, offering lower speeds and more cautious lane choices than the existing Chill mode, which stays available with Standard and Hurry options.

Tesla notes clearer distinctions in how the vehicle behaves across the different Speed Profiles.

Navigate on Autopilot, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane-change help, has been renamed Navigate on Autosteer, while the FSD Computer is now called the AI Computer.

Brake Confirm is now off by default at the start of an FSD trip, so drivers no longer need to press and release the brake pedal to begin.

New Arrival Options at journey end let drivers select the vehicle's next action, such as parking location or passenger drop-off, instead of taking over immediately.

These choices include Car Park, Indoor Car Park, Street Driveway and Pull Over, adjusted according to the navigation pin placement.

Drivers can tap the screen while parked or mid-drive to begin an FSD session and tweak Speed Profile or Arrival Options via the centre display, which now shows updated graphics.

Although FSD (Supervised) is active in Australia, Tesla introduced its driverless Robotaxi service in the US in 2025. Two examples of the purpose-built Cybercab appeared in New Zealand last week.

Tesla Australia stated the Cybercabs were in New Zealand for cold-weather testing.
