While some might view nostalgia as a drawback, Pagani embraces its heritage because revisiting prior designs proves profitable. Following Ferrari's lead with a manual V12, this Emilia-Romagna firm pairs its twelve-cylinder with a true gated shifter rather than an automated unit.

Known as the Huayra 70 Derecho, it forms the second entry in a trio honoring Horacio Pagani's 70th birthday after the Trionfo. Its name evokes a fierce windstorm, capturing the intensity of a manual V12 hypercar. Finished in Pearl Orange with Inky Blue highlights, the car updates a silhouette introduced fifteen years ago. The semi-transparent paint reveals the carbon fiber's distinctive weave, while a broader rear wing incorporates split lighting and titanium-anodized aluminum parts complement the custom wheels.

Inside, Ceramic White and Tricolore Blue leather create a bold setting accented by Pearl Orange stitching. Intricate instrumentation stands out, reflecting the owner's personal preferences without compromise.

The centerpiece remains the gated seven-speed manual sending 852 horsepower to the rear wheels from the 6.0-liter twin-turbo AMG V12 that also produces 811 lb-ft of torque. Although acceleration figures stay undisclosed, the electronic limiter engages at 217.5 mph.

After the Huayra yielded to the Utopia in 2022, Pagani sustains the model through its Grandi Complicazioni unit for bespoke commissions. It remains unclear if this example uses a fresh chassis or an existing one, much like the long-running Zonda that persists into 2026 via the Cervino project.

The car appears at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with the Huayra Codalunga Speedster and Huayra R equipped with the Tempesta package, joined by a Zonda F Roadster.
