The 2027 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 arrives with an upgraded V8 powertrain.

After Mercedes-Benz refreshed its three-row GLS SUV the brand now presents the Maybach version. The 2027 Maybach GLS 680 will reach buyers later this year with updated styling a stronger engine and a revised interior.

Beneath the hood sits the latest twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 known as the M1770 Evo that produces 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. This represents gains of 53 hp and 89 lb-ft compared with the prior version. The V8 includes electrification via a second-generation starter generator.

Mercedes updated the GLS steering setup and the Maybach includes Airmatic air suspension as standard. Customers may choose the new E-Active Body Control system that manages spring and damper forces to reduce roll pitch and lift.

The 2027 Maybach GLS features a completely new front section with an illuminated grille surround. It also displays an illuminated Maybach grille badge together with an illuminated standing Mercedes-Benz Star both appearing for the first time from the manufacturer.

Standard wheels measure 22 inches in a 20-hole pattern. Optional 23-inch forged wheels include a precision ball-bearing system that maintains the wheel star logo in a vertical position.

Within the cabin the Maybach adopts the MBUX Superscreen triple-display arrangement along with the latest infotainment software. It offers Rose Gold dials illuminated outer climate vents and enhanced massaging functions for first- and second-row occupants.

The SUV includes an upgraded Burmester 3D Surround System with Dolby Atmos as standard. The audio setup gains two extra speakers bringing the total to 15 along with a stronger 710-watt amplifier.

Mercedes-Maybach GLS Availability And Pricing

The 2027 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 will reach dealerships later this year. Mercedes has not disclosed pricing for the updated Maybach GLS.
