A full century has passed since Maserati first applied its trident emblem to the Tipo 26 race car.
Special liveries inspired by the 250F form the centerpiece of the milestone observance.
The schemes will appear for the first time this weekend as the 2026 GT2 European Series begins.

The 2026 GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli opens May 30 at Monza Autodromo Nazionale, yet Maserati will direct attention to more than competition alone. The new GT2 Stradale will display commemorative color schemes that recognize two key milestones: one hundred years of the Trident badge and the same span since the brand entered racing.

The Modena maker will present its road-focused super sports car next to the GT2 competition machines to highlight the bond between circuit and road use.

Drawn From The Historic 250F

Created through the Maserati Fuoriserie customization service, the fresh liveries take cues from the storied 250F, a standout Formula 1 car of the 1950s. The 250F claimed two drivers titles for Juan Manuel Fangio in 1954 and 1957 while also delivering wins for Stirling Moss and Maria Teresa de Filippis.

The anniversary schemes will appear on a unique GT2 race car as well as the road-legal GT2 Stradale, reinforcing the tie between competition and production models. The story reaches back to 1926 when the Tipo 26 claimed its class at the Targa Florio with Alfieri Maserati at the wheel and became the first vehicle to carry the Trident on its hood.

GT2 Stradale Serves As Official Safety Car

At Monza, Maserati will enter five GT2 cars fielded by three squads in the Pro-Am, Silver, and Master categories. One notable entry is LP Racing driver Philippe Prette, the Am class champion for the prior two seasons, who will defend his crown in the No. 1 Maserati GT2.

Beyond the GT2 European Series, the GT2 Stradale will again serve a prominent role. For the second consecutive year Maserati supplies official cars for the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, with the GT2 Stradale acting as Safety Car and the MCPura serving as Leading Car.
