The Mahindra XUV700 has once again become Australia’s most affordable new seven-seat vehicle following a recent price reduction on the Indian-built mid-size SUV.

Mahindra has reduced the price of the XUV700 AX7L by $5000, bringing it to $37,990 drive-away across all states and territories except Western Australia.

This positions the mid-range XUV700 AX7L $2000 below the base AX7 model at $39,990 drive-away and $1000 less than the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max Urban priced at $38,990 drive-away, which had previously taken the lead upon its launch in mid-2024.

Seven-seat variants of the Nissan X-Trail and Mitsubishi Outlander begin at $41,305 and $42,540 excluding on-road costs.

The vehicle features a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 149kW of power and 380Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels, with a claimed fuel consumption of 8.3L/100km.

Standard features encompass leatherette upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch digital cluster, 10.25-inch infotainment screen, 360-degree cameras, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker audio system, wireless charging, power driver’s seat with memory, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, keyless entry and ignition, automatic headlights and high-beam, rain-sensing wipers, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The XUV700 AX7L also includes adaptive cruise control with stop-go functionality, Smart Pilot Assist, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, rear parking sensors, post-collision braking, blind-spot view monitor, and seven airbags.

Mahindra provides a seven-year, 150,000km warranty along with seven years of roadside assistance.
