Lego unveiled its sixth and biggest Technic model in the Ultimate Car Concept Series with the arrival of the Lego Technic Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear.
The 1:8-scale kit packs 4104 pieces and carries a price of $449.99 ahead of its July launch.
The company also constructed a life-size Sadair's Spear that Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh piloted up the Goodwood Hill, claiming a new speed mark for any Technic car.

Lego invited guests to Gripen Atelier at Koenigsegg headquarters in Angelholm Sweden to reveal the Technic Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear. This 4104-piece creation now stands as the largest Technic car by piece count surpassing the earlier 3893-piece McLaren P1. The Sadair's Spear carries the same $449.99 price tag as recent 1:8-scale supercar kits and arrives in July.

The model showcases several working details including a nine-speed Lightspeed gearbox without a flywheel a sophisticated Triplex suspension setup a molded V-8 engine and a detachable roof panel.

Matching the real car the Technic version includes Ghost Mode. Lifting the rear clamshell triggers the hood doors and mirrors to move in sequence. Builders can also trigger each door individually via buttons located near the rear wheel arches.

Nineteen entirely new elements were created for this project. Development normally spans one year yet the added complexity stretched the timeline to eighteen months. Senior model designer Kasper Rene Hansen displayed early prototypes that illustrated how numerous features evolved through testing.

Lego further produced a full-scale 1:1 replica of the Sadair's Spear following earlier builds of the Bugatti Chiron Lamborghini Sian and McLaren P1. The giant model set a record as the fastest drivable brick car from the company reaching 111 km/h or 69 mph while ascending Goodwood Hill in reverse. It incorporates 327906 pieces in total.

This project continues a partnership that began in August 2024 when Lego released the 801-piece Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut offered in two colors at once. The two teams have collaborated closely ever since on the Sadair's Spear.
