Jeep is adding the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and Overland trims for 2027.
The Trailhawk offers 11.4 inches of ground clearance and includes the new turbocharged 2.0-liter Hurricane 4 Turbo engine.
These trims reach dealers later this year, with pricing revealed nearer the launch date.

When Jeep introduced the refreshed Grand Cherokee for 2026, the model came in just three trims. The automaker is broadening options for 2027 by reviving the Overland and Trailhawk.

The 2027 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk includes the Quadra-Trac II 4x4 system as standard along with Selec-Terrain traction control featuring a rock mode and the Quadra-Lift air suspension. It also gains a rear electronic limited-slip differential and 30.5-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory All-Terrain tires.

Six high-strength steel skid plates shield the turbocharged 2.0-liter Hurricane 4 Turbo engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, and other components. The Jeep provides 11.4 inches of ground clearance, a 36-degree approach angle, and a 30.3-degree departure angle, improvements over the prior Trailhawk.

The engine delivers 324 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque.

A revised fascia aids the approach angle while red tow hooks, a matte-black hood decal, and 18-inch wheels complete the exterior. Inside, black Nappa leather seats with red stitching distinguish the Trailhawk.

Jeep positions the Grand Cherokee Overland as the premium off-road model. It features 21-inch wheels, bright tow hooks, a body-colored roof, and silver accents. Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and unique An-Teak satin chrome trim accents appear inside.

The Overland receives the Quadra-Trac II system with a two-speed transfer case and the Quadra-Lift suspension.

The 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and Trailhawk reach showrooms later this year. Jeep plans to announce pricing closer to the on-sale date.

Motor1 Analysis: It is good to see Jeep expanding the Grand Cherokee lineup after the 2026 refresh. Adding the Overland and Trailhawk nearly rounds out the SUV range, though a true Trackhawk model remains to be confirmed.
