Hyundai builds on its strong sales performance from 2025 into 2026. This continued growth positions the company well for 2027 when several new vehicles join the existing range.

A number of these additions represent completely new entries. Others consist of updated versions of current models. One vehicle in particular gains an innovative powertrain choice that may attract buyers still weighing electric options.

Here is a closer look at the upcoming lineup.

Hyundai Elantra: Updated Appearance

The well-liked compact sedan receives a mid-cycle refresh. Changes focus on the front and rear styling along with a revised cabin design rather than a complete redesign.

Powertrain choices for the standard model stay consistent. This approach suits the Elantra well in its segment. A revised Elantra N powerplant could appear later depending on development progress.

Hyundai Ioniq 3: Availability Questions in the US

This compact electric hatchback offers more than 300 miles of range along with solid performance. It targets buyers seeking an affordable electric vehicle. Current plans do not include sales of this model in the United States.

The absence is notable given fuel prices and average vehicle costs. Although electric vehicle interest has cooled somewhat it has not vanished. Strong range and competitive pricing could revive demand in regions with solid charging networks.

Hyundai Kona: Refresh or Major Redesign?

Production of the Kona EV pauses for 2026 due to higher than anticipated 2025 inventory. Buyers may soon see a more significant update instead.

A fully revised Kona is expected for the 2027 model year. The subcompact crossover gains a bolder stance that matches other recent Hyundai utility vehicles. Powertrain options likely include a turbocharged 1.6-liter hybrid and an updated electric version. Both receive new interior technology and exterior styling inspired by recent concepts.

Hyundai Santa Fe: Extended-Range Electric Option

Hyundai continues investment at its Georgia facility. An extended-range electric vehicle is now planned for the 2027 Santa Fe. This powertrain combines electric motors and a battery with a gasoline engine that acts as a generator.

Drivers can charge the battery normally or rely on the engine to produce electricity when needed. The setup provides flexibility similar to earlier range-extender vehicles. Total driving range should reach approximately 560 miles.

Hyundai Tucson: Long-Awaited Update

The compact SUV continues its strong market presence after two decades. The next version adopts a more squared-off exterior while keeping signature lighting details.

Hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains remain available. A higher-performance Tucson N model with roughly 295 horsepower and all-wheel drive is also under consideration. The standard gasoline-only variant may be discontinued which could raise the entry price.

Future Hyundai Plans

Two additional vehicles based on the Boulder concept remain in development. An SUV and a pickup truck are expected between 2028 and 2030 rather than as 2027 models.

Hyundai may refine the final design to align more closely with other recent concepts. The company continues to strengthen its portfolio across sedans and crossovers with multiple powertrains and price points that appeal to a wide range of buyers.
