Genesis has introduced the electric GV60 Magma performance SUV into its Nordschleife Track Taxi fleet, alongside the current G70 sports sedans.

This allows passengers to experience the 478kW/790Nm electric performance vehicle, which accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 265km/h.

Via the Genesis booking system for the Track Taxi experience, a single co-pilot seat is available for around €140 ($229.40), while an extra guest adds €40 ($65.54). For comparison, the main guest option in the G70 is priced at €120 ($196.62).

The Genesis Track Taxi initiative began in 2024 and provides passenger laps on the 20.832km circuit, complete with 73 corners and varied road surfaces, under the guidance of a professional driver.

Since launch, nearly 3000 Genesis guests have enjoyed rides in the two modified G70s, which have together completed 1300 laps of the famous German track, covering 27,080 kilometres.

The G70 Track Taxis are based on the 3.3T Sport model and include Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres for strong grip in all conditions, lowered KW coilover suspension, plus enhanced brakes and cooling.

They retain the standard 274kW/510Nm 3.3-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine, enabling the rear-wheel-drive sedan to reach 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds.

The 2026 Genesis GV60 Magma has recently arrived in Australia as the first vehicle from the brand's new performance sub-brand.

Starting at $130,000 plus on-road costs, the GV60 Magma sits more than $40,000 above the single-motor GV60 Advance and roughly $15,000 higher than the related Hyundai Ioniq 5 N electric SUV and Ioniq 6 N electric sedan.

Sharing components with its Hyundai counterparts, the GV60 Magma comes with an 84kWh battery, electronic limited-slip differential, Virtual Gear Shift, and Drift Mode features.
