Foton Australia has introduced a comprehensive lineup of genuine accessories for the Tunland range, mirroring moves by established ute makers and covering items from tow bars through to canopies.

The brand worked with local specialist Ironman 4x4 to develop canopies, roller covers and roof platforms, while TriMotive supplied towing components including electric brake controllers and recovery points.

New Zealand firm MTL contributed protection items such as floor mats.

Foton states that every accessory underwent a dedicated local development and validation program with these partners, selected for their field expertise along with strong local support and engineering strengths.

Each item carries the same seven-year unlimited-kilometre warranty as the vehicles themselves when purchased and installed through Foton at the point of sale or ahead of the first service at 12 months or 20,000 km.

The following accessories are offered for both the Tunland V7 and V9, with prices inclusive of fitment:

Additional items available for pre-order this month for the V7 and V9 include a rubber tray liner priced at $232.42, an electric brake controller with 12-pin trailer socket at $1428.61, an Anderson plug kit at $992.95 and a recovery point kit at $418.01.

A RedArc Tow Pro V3 electric brake controller kit remains in runout at $871.33.

Further accessories are planned for release.

Foton began local ute deliveries late in 2025 following an absence of roughly six years from the Australian market. The brand returned with a ute carrying the established Tunland nameplate, though it has not yet reintroduced a van or SUV.

Tunland models are larger than many rival utes yet not as large as full-size American pickups whose styling they echo. The V7 provides a payload exceeding 1000 kg and features a live rear axle with leaf springs, while the V9 uses a multi-link rear setup aimed primarily at private buyers.

The Tunland range begins at $39,990 before on-road costs. Foton now offers the V7 and V9 through 39 dealerships across the country, an increase from 28 sites earlier this year. The brand is distributed by Inchcape, which also manages Subaru and Deepal. Inchcape recently confirmed it would cease handling Peugeot.

Through to the end of June, Foton recorded 688 Tunland deliveries in Australia this year, trailing several budget utes such as the LDV T60 (1560), MG U9 (918), KGM Musso (920 including the unrelated Musso EV) and GWM Cannon (6161 including the larger Cannon Alpha). It does however exceed JAC, another recent Chinese entrant, which has delivered 437 T9 examples so far this year.
