Ford introduces a refreshed Mustang GTD Spirit of America to honor the nation's 250th anniversary.

This represents Ford's second take on the Mustang GTD Spirit of America.

Prior to shipping the standard Mustang GTD, Ford debuted a special Spirit of America edition focused purely on visual flair with red, white, and blue highlights. Now the company is set to release a revised version timed perfectly for America's 250th birthday celebration.

The new Mustang GTD Spirit of America sticks with the Performance White exterior but adds an asymmetrical livery as its key update. Ford describes the off-center design as a fresh spin on the legendary Mustang tri-bar motif.

Red paint covers the spoiler plates and side mirrors, while the rear spoiler displays enormous white 'Mustang' lettering, mirroring the original edition. Without interior images from Ford, it seems unlikely there are major cabin changes - expect the same 3D-printed titanium details to remain.

As with its predecessor, this Mustang GTD Spirit of America 2.0 is strictly an appearance upgrade. Power comes from the supercharged 5.2-liter V8 pumping out 815 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, good for a 202-mph top speed.

It includes the full GTD Performance Pack for superior aerodynamics and reduced weight, featuring dive planes, an enlarged front splitter, and underbody flaps. Interested buyers can submit applications online, with the window closing May 18, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.
