Deepal Australia continues to promote its mid-size electric SUV that rivals the Tesla Model Y by extending reduced pricing, though this applies solely to variants equipped with larger wheels.

The Deepal S07 is listed at $47,990 drive-away when fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels and Dunlop tyres, and this pricing holds through July 31, 2026.

Premium paint carries an extra $800 charge, with availability limited to Comet White, Lunar Grey and Eclipse Black shades.

The Chinese marque indicates that examples featuring the standard 19-inch alloys and Giti tyres, previously promoted at $46,990 drive-away, have now sold out completely.

Although Deepal introduced the S07 at $53,900 before on-road costs, multiple promotions have appeared since the mid-2025 launch that included a $49,990 drive-away deal.

The S07 reaches Australian buyers only in single-motor rear-wheel drive form, delivering 160kW of power and 320Nm of torque with a manufacturer-quoted 0-100km/h sprint of 7.9 seconds.

A 79.97kWh ternary lithium battery supports a WLTP range of 475km along with 11kW AC and 92kW DC charging capability.

Standard features encompass a panoramic fixed-glass roof, a 15.6-inch touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an augmented-reality head-up display, power tailgate, 50W ventilated wireless phone charger, leatherette upholstery, plus heated, ventilated and power-adjustable front seats.

Deepal models, brought to Australia by Subaru importer Inchcape, include a seven-year or 160,000km vehicle warranty together with an eight-year or 240,000km battery warranty.

A spokesperson for Deepal Australia noted that the S07 maintains solid sales momentum locally and has been well received by buyers in recent months.

Interest in the model remains high, resulting in the complete sell-out of the 19-inch wheel version, while a limited quantity of 20-inch alloy examples continues to be available depending on retailer and location. All unsold units are 2025 build and certified models.

Deepal is not unique in extending post-EOFY incentives, as Chery, GWM, MG and other manufacturers likewise retain price reductions of several thousand dollars across selected vehicles.

Deepal currently fields two models locally: the S07 that introduced the brand late in 2024 and the E07 Multitruck that arrived in 2025.

Through June, Deepal recorded 522 S07 deliveries this year plus 215 E07 units, the latter having faced a temporary stop-sale over child-seat anchor compliance before resuming.

The S07 shows rising demand, with 287 units delivered across the full 2025 calendar year, and current figures already exceed the Leapmotor C10 total of 268 while trailing the Geely EX5 at 6756 among recently arrived brands.

A platform sibling to the S07 will soon join the local market under another badge, with the Mazda CX-6e scheduled for later this year.

The smaller S05 electric SUV, initially slated for the second half of 2025, has yet to launch despite earlier regulatory filings from January 2026.

Deepal has advised that the S05 is in final preparation for its Australian debut and will release further information shortly.
