Japanese tuner Liberty Walk has amazed enthusiasts many times with its bold modifications on classic vehicles.
The fresh design gives the pair of Andretti Formula E machines a touch of altered Nissan R34 Skyline flair.

Swift vehicles speeding along paths near Tokyo Bay have formed part of car lore from the start of online videos, grainy shots of tuned Supras exceeding 180 mph after dark. Radar and patrols have largely ended unlawful antics, yet this month brings official action as Formula E holds its initial Tokyo night race.

Placing third in the Formula E team standings, Andretti pushes ahead and may seek some home advantage through its paint choice for the Tokyo event. Both Gen3 racers from the squad sport chrome silver-and-blue schemes created with Liberty Walk, the famed Nagoya tuner.

Started in the early 1990s, Liberty Walk ranks among the more playful modification firms, applying changes not only to Toyotas and Nissans but also to vintage icons. No model escapes, from the Lamborghini Miura to the Ferrari F40, all open to widebody kits and lowered setups that sit extremely close to the ground.

Many recent Liberty Walk projects use an all-white finish with a red Rising Sun emblem, covered in sponsor logos. The silver-and-blue scheme recalls an earlier style and evokes the R34 Skyline from 2 Fast 2 Furious.

The Tokyo layout promises difficulty, though cargo trucks will stay clear during the event. With 18 corners across 1.6 miles and tight barriers ready to punish mistakes, exact control matters as much as speed.

The setting and timing should inject extra thrill into a series working to expand its reach. Liberty Walk gains an edge since its creations look striking even when still. Andretti's two Formula E entries must deliver both speed and striking appearance.
